Fiscal quota stabilises at 30.0%
Bern, 11.10.2006 - Switzerland’s fiscal quota for 2005 was 30.0%. It is thus slightly higher than the 2004 figure (29.2%) but still well below the average for the fifteen EU member states (before enlargement to the east), as well as those of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Only Mexico, Korea, Japan, the US and Slovakia have a lower fiscal burden. These figures are taken from
the latest edition of the OECD's annual Revenue Statistics publication published today.
