On 14 May 2009 President Merz will receive the Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko in Bern, in the presence of the Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey. Along with bilateral relations, topics of discussion will focus on the European policies and multilateral cooperation of both countries.

The following day, the Ukrainian President will also meet the Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs Doris Leuthard.

Finally the Ukrainian delegation will in addition meet the President-Designate of the Swiss National Bank Philipp Hildebrand and the President of the Council of States Alain Berset following the reception at the Lohn.
