Meeting with Aung San Suu Kyi
On Thursday evening, 14 June, the Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi met President Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf and the Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Didier Burkhalter, and other members of the government. Unfortunately a joint dinner had to be cancelled: the Burmese winner of the Nobel Peace Prize was suffering from exhaustion and jet lag.
